RW 71 FR Fire-Rated Windows and Doors

The RW 71 FR system is designed for building fire-rated door assemblies, partitions, and fixed windows. Its maximum fire rating is EIW 60 which means that the system preserves its integrity and thermal insulating capacity during a fire for up to 60 minutes. It uses standard RW 71 profiles the cavities of which are filled with a special material. RW 71 FR is an end-to-end solution that accelerates assembly and installation of fire-rated structures.
- The system is easy to use. It provides for several means to retain the door leaf in the frame in fire conditions (steel deadbolts), to prevent the destruction of profiles after thermal breaks are burnt (steel retainers) and falling of glazing infill from the door leaf (steel securing elements and fire-retardant glazing supports), as well as leakage of combustion products (a thermal expansion strip and fire gasket).
- The system supports the assembly of single or double doors opening inwards and outwards.
- The glazing infill thickness ranges from 12 to 42 mm. The infill is fixed with glazing beads processed at 90°. The transparent infill should be in the form of flame-resistant glasses which should also be included in a glass pane.
- The internal cavities of the RW 71 FR fire-rated system frame are filled with a special material— a unique nontoxic bulk granulated thermal compensator used to improve the fire resistance of the assembly. It is a cost-efficient, easy to use and proven medium of this type for insulated profile systems.
- The granules of the thermal compensator are 3-6 mm in size. The water content of the material is more than 30%; however, it looks dry. Its effect is based on dehydration of this chemically bound water at high temperatures.
- The thermal compensator easily fills profile cavities leaving no voids. By sticking to the internal surfaces, it provides direct contact necessary for efficient heat removal and thermal compensation.
- The elements of the RW 71 FR system are fabricated from aluminium profiles extruded from AD 31 alloy under GOST 22233-2001.
- The surfaces of the aluminium profiles can be powder coated in any RAL colour by powder spraying.
- The frame profile groove is 14/18 mm (Eurogroove); the vent profile groove is 15/20 mm (Eurogroove).
