Production: Casting Line

The equipment for the production of aluminium billets includes the tilting gas smelt furnace supplied by the Italian company Cometal Engineering SpA. The furnace is equipped with a hydraulic drive for alloy teeming and has a capacity of 17 tons of smelt per shift.

The furnace includes the system for secondary treatment of smelt with inert gas and subsequent metal filtering through a ceramic foam filter. The vertical hydraulic casting machine supports simultaneous casting of 36/42 high-quality extrusion billets of up to 7,200 mm in length. During the casting of billets, continuous modification of Аl–Ti–B smelt with master alloy is ensured.

The second smelting and casting complex includes two stationary flame-contact smelt furnaces with the capacity of up to 70 tons of smelt per shift and a casting machine. Besides, there is a system for secondary treatment of smelt with inert gas and subsequent metal filtering through a ceramic foam filter.
