Laboratory

There are two laboratories at the enterprise: a physical laboratory and the powder coating line laboratory. Both facilities are equipped with the most advanced imported and domestic equipment.

Physical Laboratory

Chemical composition of an aluminium alloy is determined by GOST 7727-compliant emission spectrum analysis using Polyspek Junior spectrometer produced by ARUN Technology (England) and emission spectrometer produced by German Foundry–Master XPR Expert. Sampling by the permanent-mould casting method and sample preparation are carried out under GOST 24231.

The Rockwell hardness of the mould under GOST 9013 and the Brinnel hardness of the profile under GOST 9012 are determined with the help of TEMP-4 hardness gauge (TEMP, CNIITMASH, Moscow, Russia).

Grain quantity analysis and other physical metallurgy studies are carried out using the metallographic microscope METAM–PB–22 manufactured by LOMO (St. Petersburg, Russia).

Hydrogen content is determined by melting of samples in a stream of inert gas (nitrogen) under GOST Р50965-96 using the device RH-402 manufactured by Leko at the All-Russian Institute of Light Alloys.

Powder Coating Line Laboratory

The quality of powder coatings is tested using devices manufactured by Gradient-Techno, LLC (Moscow).

Under GOST 896, a glossmeter is used for the gloss quality of coatings. The thickness of the coating is measured with a thickness gauge (Elcometer) as per GOST R 51694. Chemical analyses are conducted to determine the composition of solutions in the baths of the powder coating line.
